for doing solar paneling on a house do i need C&G 2372 or is it just good practice to have i like to keep learning more but its like £700 to get C&G 2372 dose everyone have this who dose solar paneling?
i have 2391-10 dont know if its worth doing 2391-20 what do you guys think i have been self employed for 20 years and think i need to keep up with the times i like to know everything aboul electric but i learn somthing new nearly every day.

well what would you do ?

You need MCS accreditation in order for your clients to be eligible for Feed In Tariff payments.

I don't know about the other schemes but to join the NIC MCS scheme you need to be part p registered and have 2372.

you need to be a competent person, that is all.

I put some on my roof and i had not qualifications, since went and did a NICEIC solar pv course (which was ridiculous and embarassing to take)

a standard pv install is very easy for a competent electrician, the problem is that the simple things have been over shadowed by the mcs lark.

just go for it!
