Spoiler alert... I got one last week for mine, think DAN has an automated happy birthday message in the system if you filled your DOB in when you joined otherwise your DOB isn't in your profile ...

Most forums and social networks have an automated birthday system.. look at FB for example, it post who's birthday it is in the top right message slot; well as long as they filled it in at some point in their profile settings.
