I have an ltc amplifier with 2 pin foriegn plug. Says china made on appliance. I cut off 2 pin plug to attach 3 pin uk and im not sure where to put wires as one is blue and 2 black ones? Theres also a socket for 12v use on rear of appliance .

Any ideas?

Are you sure there's three wires that were going to the original 2 pin plug? It might be worth checking that the middle wire of the three isn't a packing string or spacer of some sort. Have you actually stripped the insulation off the ends of the three wires ready to go in the new plug?
 
If you have a test set and still have the original plug there may be hope. Trim back what you can of the cable remaining from the plug and use your test set to sort out what went where using the test set on ohms.
 
Yeah defo 3 wires. I repair pc's wiring on bits and dabs of stuff and this stuffs no problem but searched online nothing comes up even on int wiring codes! the bear wire is thin, grey and flimsey? set came from germany but made in the far east. Aint got any working tester at min.
