hi I was wondering if it was possible to change a switched fused socket to a double socket . The switched fused socket currently has one wire going in and two cables coming out one goes down stairs and runs our tv/ virgin box dvd player etc. etc. and the other goes to centralheating combi boiler. The reason for asking is I would like to plug a hdd hard dive which will be connected to a cctv camera and this would make it all nice and neat in a cupboard out the way.

thanks alan

best off getting a local electrician round to physically see the arrangement, as there may be more than one way od achieving what you want. doing it right and safe should not cost much.
