As an electrician and a forum user I have to say I think the problem is a bit of both,some of the posters are rude but equally some of the responses from some forum members are unnecessarily rude and borderline abusive at times. It's just like real life if you give out a bad attitude you will get it straight back

Agree it’s a whole different animal now!
If you read some old threads back to 2010 it’s like a chimera of conversation and Kickboxing. I’m not so sure if they even tried to hide the swear words with asterisks like what we do now!
