I just replaced a standard one way switch with a varilight dimmer. the switch has 3 wires, 1 single brown and a pair of browns on the other terminal. the switch works correctly but when I switch the ensuite extractor fan on, the bedroom lights go off then come back on again as though the dimmer has been reset or switched off then back on. Its got me stumped.
I would appreciate it if anyone can shed any light on this for me.
many thanks in advance.

sounds like you may have the fan on the dimmer. this could cause some weird effects. not saying it's 100% that, but with 2 s/l's at the switch, it's looking that way.
