Went to a couples house this morning, nice house nice people, Hubby is restricted in what he can do, hence my visit. Lots of jobe shelves, grab rails etc, the Lady asked if I would put some pictures on the wall for Her, of course no worries I said, She wanted one to cover a back box with a 3 cor coile up inside, apparently it was a C/H stat that had been removed, Plumber said he had made it safe, she cut the cores singularly, beter check I though, sure enough my worst fears were proven, not dead still live, just how she never got a belt, I'll never know, told her to contact plumberand give him a rollocking, he came around whilst I was there, asked me how I knew it was dead, showed him my voltage indicator, he left with his tail between his legs, severly chasened by Me and Mrs Householder.

Huge respect to you Pete for your volunteer work, your a very good egg mate, a dying breed, I hope I can help others a bit more in a few years when I finally chuck the towel in.

Fair play you spelt it right, normally I get an MJD

I do despair I have to say. I have respect for all the other trades; my plastering is ----, my painting is abstract, my carpentry is like whittling and plumbing is akin to joining by numbers.

I therefore would not except payment for anything outside my suggested expertise in electrical installation. I don't understand why these other trades dabble in other fields, putting themselves in disrupt and others in danger?
