Got called out to a property in the New Forest this morning (Sunday), their oil boiler had caught fire in the early hours, luckily they heard it go and no-one was hurt.

Fire brigade called, then the plumber to remove the boiler and cap the water and oil pipes, then me.....

Apart from making the cut cables safe, the main reason they wanted me there was "we just need you to get our phones working today". When I said I couldn't that was followed by "why can't you just reconnect them?"

This was the phone distribution box that had been above the boiler, 2 lines in, multiple cables out, all black and melted.
