What voltage tester do you use?

I currently own a Fluke T3 which I love as a basic voltage indication device. I also own a couple of T5-1000 which I still like but am more cautious of them as they have the dial which I worry can get muck/dust in and fail so they usually only get used in a cleaner enviroment or for when I am getting a resistance measure on heating mats & probes etc.

I am looking to get another basic one as a backup for the T3, ideally with no dials/switches etc just LED's.

I looked at the new Fluke T120 but heard some bad reviews so had a look at the Socket & See VIP 150 which looks small & basic so could be ideal, however I am a little unsure of the brand quality.

I also looked at a Duspol compact at around the same price which is the same as the Knipex one (a brand I am familiar with)

What do you guys use??

I have been using the T120 for a few years now and not had a prob so far.

Does what it says on the tin.

i have the fluke t5 1000. seems to chew through batteries a fair bit though

I have a Fluke T120. Brilliant. Dies what it says on the tin without fail so far.

Fluke T140. Been reliable, so far.

Fluke T140 just don't wrap the lead up around the probes and jam it into a pouch in a tote style tool bag, on mine both the leads have fatigued themselves and now the cores are exposed worked great up until that point, apart from the having to test between L & N first otherwise if you go between L & E first it trips RCDs . I use my Martindale more If only they updated it with a continuity buzzer it would be perfect

I use a Martindale Voltage Indicator and Proving Unit. Also have a Drummond Test Lamp.

Also have Fluke T100 because of the continuity test available.

I use this, but the leads aren't very durable if you use it a lot. Mine currently have a large array of coloured tape holding them together. It doesn't trip RCDs either which is good.

Fluke T120, then when it got bust got a T5 600 instead.

Wish i'd got another T120, so much more compact.
