See we have at least two flat earth society members on here.

All I'd say is we must be in the presence of some learned Astrophysicists.
Said it before I could, as the earth spins the forces that are immense push the middle part out around its axis, hence the slight bulge when you look at distant pictures of earth from space.Not perfectly spherical. Fatter round the equator as the spinning pushes it out.
A bit like a builder after too many times on a merry go round
now I will throw a spanner in the works ,if this planet was mouton rock to hot and cooled down .where do the water come in to it .now think about it .
