Working on 11kv overhead line

What are the requirements in terms of safety before work is done on a private overhead line be it repairs or deviation of line.

Don’t know, but you could start by turning it off and grounding it.

is There not a company that specialises in that sort of work locally?
I would not think of it as a do it yourself sort of job.

Wanted to hear from qualified linesman the requirements in terms of permits before undertaking work on a private overhead line

OP is in Mali, so I don’t think anyone here will know the exact permits required.

They could try the local electricity network company

I believe there are procudures to be followed before you do any work close to a HT overhead line.Something to do with the Exclusion zones.So that is what I am asking from those with the experience to assist me with their knowledge.This is a private line not a national supply authority line.
