LED Bulbs won't work together on same circuit.

I agree with Richard, some transformers have a minimum rating. Are u using individual transformers for each lamp?

2 way 2 gang light switch problems

Yip that's why I like joint boxes for lighting, everything back to a central point + able to operate any light from any switch with a single cable, not the most cost efficient as more cable is required but defo makes life much simpler. :-)

2 way 2 gang light switch problems

3 core t+e is really common in Scotland for 2 way light switching, never seen a new build that's done any other way. :-)

2 way 2 gang light switch problems

Do u mean you use a sleaved earth in a twin cable as a switch wire, how do you supply a cpc to the other switch?

    RCD issue, or is it?

I presume it's a split load board, a crossed neutral would explain the wrong rcd tripping. The test button not working is odd, did it trip out on a 1/2 x IΔn test?

2 way 2 gang light switch problems

Yip I agree, if you're not sure then get a professional in to look at it!

2 way 2 gang light switch problems

If that's T+E and the 2 black wires that are missing in that picture are neutrals connected together in a block, then the red going to the bathroom is a switch wire + u need to loop a feed from the adjacent switch. Odd to see a 2 way wired without 3 core though, I presume there are 2 cables at...

    City & Guilds 2394/2395

Before I worked for AI the only updates I ever did was a 1 day regs update course. They have an odd way of doing things, they put me through 10 compex units which is more than is needed to work offshore, bonkers.

    City & Guilds 2394/2395

The refresher/update is a company requirement, I think the likes of NIC-EIC only require 2382-15 or similar to prove competence.

    City & Guilds 2394/2395

There was 4 of us that were put on the course, 2 of them hadn't done the 2391 before so maybe that's the reason I ended up having to do that one.

    City & Guilds 2394/2395

I wasn't able to do an Amm 3 update for the 2391 because the 2394/2395 has replaced it. There may be training providers that still do it but the one we use don't.

    City & Guilds 2394/2395

The fact that the exam is closed book is very odd. The exam is more of a test of your memory rather than competence. I've been doing testing for years + I still refer to the literature for reference. I'd be lost without my Max Zs lists etc, haha..

    City & Guilds 2394/2395

Has anyone sat the new 2394/2395 version of inspection + testing? I did the original 2391 several years ago but because it is now obsolete, I had to update it. I found a lot of the content on the new course was focused on how to ensure compliance when recording/reporting results rather than the...
