I have a ccu with a Ze of 0.09 and it's supplying another ccu which that board supplies multiple other CCUs I was wondering how I would work out my zs and ze on the other boards?
As usual – I preface this with the fact that I will be engaging the work of an electrician to do this.. however, I like to get my head around the works beforehand. This will NOT be a DIY job – I’m nowhere near skilled enough to contemplate such a thing… but with that caveat in mind – humour me...
Saw this online and it seems NAPIT are setting up a job leads service and then charging its members for them.
not sure how well this will work and if it does then i expect certsure to quickly muscle in on the action and use the NICEIC brand to get some of the market share and money being made...
Hello, ive new to this forum and have a slightly above average knowledge of electrical.
I currently have a wall sconce with an outlet just below it, both are controlled by the same switch. I want to move the light to the ceiling. I figured I would be able to run a wire to the he switch and then...
Around 25 years ago I went to Spain with my girlfriend and stayed in an apartment, as she was unpacking the suitcase I decided to take the consumer unit face plate off and have a look. I was surprised to find what looked like 6.0mm cooker cable forming a ring, when I removed the faceplate from a...

Looking to install an extractor fan for a client. Issue is that they have a child that sleeps in an adjacent room and they like to keep the bathroom light on but obviously not with the fan going. The obvious solution is to switch off the fan using the isolator but this switch is going to be...
I wired a house about a year ago, We recently got a call back because the led can trims are glowing when the switch is off. We have figured out that the can trims that glow when their switch is off only glow when the dimmer in and for a different rom is turned on. The led can trims are listed as...

Hi,
I recently did a complete house refub, including entirely new electrical wiring and fuse box. Unfortunately the builders (who supplied their own electrician) turned out to be a bunch of cowboys.
They left about a month ago, and today I noticed something very strange in the first floor...
I have a not so old filament set of lights and as much as it would be easier to bin them and buy some LED they have sentimental value and I'm not sure binning them is terribly "green".
The lights state rated at 24V and 18W. I'm not sure if I have the correct power supply but it states 24V 5VA...
