I am after some advice from anyone who has used the megger 1730 in 2016. I am close to buying one and shipping it to Australia. I have read bad reviews about the older software it used now it seems to have better reviews.would I be making a mistake in buying one and shipping it to Australia?
I am thinking about buying the Megger MFT1730, I have read bad reviews (before 2014) on the no trip test and z readings being off. Does anyone know what the 1730 is like now in 2016? is it worth buying?
has there been any software upgrades to fix the issues? any info is appreciated
Hi All
Have just completed our office PAT tests and has thankfully been a while since I have used my Megger PAT4 DVF. The meter seems to communicate OK with download manager (latest version from Megger) as you can see the info coming through. Once finished, the meter hangs up the communication...
Hi all, I'm new to both this forum and PAT testing. I've been given a Megger PAT2 to use but it's missing its flash testing probe, so I can't use the tester for Class 2 insulation tests. I'm not hopeful of getting a spare from Megger themselves so can anyone advise on a replacement? I'm afraid I...
Hi everyone I hope that you are all well and enjoying your weekend. I have a Megger Pat3 tester which I inherited from my dad. I now want to get it calibrated and start using it! The problem is, I don't have the user manual for it. The basic instructions are printed under the lid but I would...
Hi peeps,
I'm in the market for a "nearly new" 1720/30 ( see I missed Robs :sad3:). If you have, or know of, one for sale, please pm me.
Ta much
I've got my megger 1730 for sale.
Reason for sale is I just don't use it anymore. If I'm honest it's probably been used less than a dozen times since I've owned it. (It still has the protective cover over the LCD screen)
It's currently out of calibration, but passed our in house tests...
Hi all, just wondered if anyone has had a similar issue with their 1552 or 1553 Megger mft ?
noticed the fault started just after I changed the batteries, fuse logo came up on screen so changed that, now it works, but when testing live circuits it completes the test, but then within a few...
Good day all.
I was wondering how you actually go about using a megger to test the quality of insulation of a motor, I understand why you would do the test. If you were to test it at the motor starter and you have isolated the circuit would you need to disconnect the wires going to the motor...
Here we have a compete Megger 320 kit including all cables.
Kit is in excellent working condition and was regularly calibrated and checked up until June last year when the calibration expired. I've not shopped around for calibration quotes but I paid from £70 to 90. .
Rather than the...
I already read the thread on this but the answers didn't help. I need to get my !553 apart and have taken the 4 screws out. The unit will start to part but there appears to be something holding the two halves together at the top. Does anybody know how to open one of these up?
I spoke to Megger...
Evening all,
I've just purchased a Fluke 1654B Mft, and on further inspection I've realized it has been supplied with fused Robin test leads (which after some research is standard for older versions of 1654b, i think????) so not as bothered as i first was. I'm wondering if these leads are still...
I'm on the lookout for one of these, been told there is a few fakes knocking about...
How can they be distinguished on the second hand market?
Also, what's the best price for a new one?
Ta.
Does anyone know where I can buy the 'optional' clamp meter for my Megger MFT1720? A product number or something would be helpful! Cant find one anywhere online..
