To be fair to auto electricians, faults on cars now are very difficult to find, even with high end testing gear. Manufacturers do not have to identify fault codes that will compromise design secrets. Not many electricians, if any will spend their time looking for free.
In can take hours just to get access to some locations containing components.

If you prefer a certain Brand ..do better with people who specialise.
-- Land-rovers did weird stuff with corroded earth tags.
Peugeot's had water slopping about in a chanel.
( some who fit alarms well -have broad knowledge of what goes wrong !)
..a perfect working car -is sure to break .. If looked at the wrong way.
(as it was probably sold with a fault )....
( Even the place i recommended has disappeared .. 3 years ago )
So much opinion on a good / Bad job .. The job is a lottery at times. (Lemons are involved)
A bit like -Which was the favourite pub ... Sorry missing them !
