Batthroom fan intermittant fault

Hi all new to forum, so be gentle

When I switch the bathroom light on, the light is fine but the fan extractor does not work
sometimes the bulb intermittantly will be dim (GU9 BULB ) this is the only time the extractor will come on.

-checked power from SL & L on extractor all good & zero volts when you turn off isolator.

any possible causes for intermittant fault?

sounds like a poor connection. OK with no load, but as soon as you try and pass current , it fails.
