hi am 27 years old have been a sparks for 10 years am jib graded with nvq level 3 2360 parts 1 and 2 2391 testing 16th 2381 edithon and AM OFF TOO australia in march as am sick of the situation with workoverhere at the minute can anyone please give me some relavent advice on ho wto go about acquireing a job and relavent licsense in australia melbourne area please guys girls thankyou much love xx

first port of call is australia house. they will tell you what you need as regards quals, visa, all that stuff. ps. wish i,d gone when i had the chance, £10 assisted passage. ( and no, it wasn't for stealing sheep)

already done m8 got a visa they dont give advice on trade recognithon already tried but thanks for the input

I went on a £10.00 assisted passage in 1973 ( blooming long time ago !!!! ) I was up in Queensland and when I needed to get some qualifications I took along all my bits of paper ( from the UK )to the appropriate office and in a couple of hours I had the needed Aussie Qualifications. Then went and got a job. It may well be worth it sending by Email all your current quals and see what they say.

well thanks for that but ive heard some horror storys that its right hard work like everything nowdays and my airfare was about 700 squid so a cockle aint bad assisted passage maybe i turn back to being a criminal as sparking is a mugs game at the momentoo

Matty I seam to recall that even although you have uk qualifications you still have to sit some sort of trade test
