Hi all

question regarding installing cables on cable tray. Currently working in a restaurant down south and laying are installing twin and earth cables on cable tray. Quick and easy I suppose but is there a regulation what states the way you should tie the cables to cable tray. I have worked in a few different sizes of the industry but there is only 4 twin and earth cables getting run along to a another fuse board. Was thinking of tieing down 2 on top of the other two which makes it look neat but not sure if there is a ref that stops this method. Can’t see why there would be a issue have seen this loads of places but just wanted other fews ? Thanks in advance.

So few cables on a tray would pose very few issues regarding bunching / heat ...

in all honesty I would be tempted to bunch together to keep it neat but 2 and 2 is probably better

I was planning on having 2flat side by side then 2flat side by side on top of the 1st two. So has air coming from the top the sides and through holes in bottom. I have seen this method performed many of time but just wondered if this was bad practise or not looks neater also ?
