Discuss Ck pliers 160/180/200 in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

They should be OK to buy, they are the individual tools as supplied by CK but in a package.
Admittedly the price is low, but I do not think it would be worth B&Q's while to supply a counterfeit set, so there would be no problem with the set.
Though at a later date you may well find you only need one of the three and it would be more economic to buy the one needed or you may wish to change to a different make, etc. for some items, not that there is anything wrong with CK.

No it's a set of 3 different tools, standard pliers, long nosed pliers and side cutters so all 3 are very useful, essential even - I'd say this was a very good buy.

Yep, I would agree. I use CK side cutters, long noses and drivers daily and I like them. Not saying they are better/worse than other makes, but they have performed well with regular use.

Thankyou for your replies. As Richard said I guess with it being from b&q they are highly unlikely to be knockoffs. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't something I had missed with my inexperience.

Theses seem like an overall good deal then

The price looks good to me and I'm sure you'll use all 3 of the items if you're putting together a tool kit for electrical work. CK will serve you well if you look after them and don't abuse them, they're also warrantied for a year so I'd say they'd be a very worthwhile purchase.

I'm pretty damn sure they won't be counterfeit from a nationwide distributor like B&Q.

The price is about the same as Amazon. I just got a fresh pair of ck side snips with the notches for 1.5 and 2.5. They We're £20 and the standard side snips from that set were £15

Need to keep an eye out in Amazon in future then! Luckily I have an old pair of those combi3 to tide me over for now but worth checking in future. Thanks

Those Rothenberger pump pliers in your link (click add to basket - and scroll) are worth £13 of anyone's money in my opinion.

If you have an Amazon account, add items you want to a 'Wish List' and you're alerted whenever the item is reduced in price or on offer. Lots of potential savings to be had!
