just finishing off in a house and going to tidy up attic today.. the lady had gu10s and insulation layed over the top, what is the most economic soloution that youve seen or use...

im thinking chicken wire?????
 
Local council building control office ( not saying which council) told me to cover them with terracotta plant pots so insulation could be rolled out.

I laughed.

Turned out he was serious. Bought large plant pots about £1 each put them over downlights and completion certificate was issued.

Mental!
