Apologies for the recent downtime, our raid card broke out of hours and we couldn't access anything to pull up from a backup. We're getting a separate server in a separate datacenter to mirror the existing one so if one goes down like that again, we can instantly get back online, so this doesn't happen again.

This hosting is awesome when it comes to DDOS attacks. We had many GB of 'abusive' traffic for months on and off, and it filtered the lot out. Hosting in the UK just couldn't have done that. We don't have the spare network space to allow it to get close enough to the server to manage it properly without spending thousands per GB per day. So it was a good move. Got us back online while we had our issues related to that.

But in the UK we had a guy named Bob who could go to the server(s) and physically replace things on our command and mess around with setups, whether it was Christmas morning or Wednesday afternoon midsummer.

So I guess we just need to come up with our own solutions for if this (what is actually a really rare outage for such a new server) happens again.

The forum actions now seem to be a few m/s faster.

Slightly less traffic today (some people don't know it's back online yet), and freshly booted server services, ran a few update scripts too. All contribute to it. Could get back to normal though so don't get too excited. Might have been the raid card going though for a while so it could have been causing issues anyway.

Could be a Borrowed Neutral or somebody tripped on the flex and pulled the plug out or there again maybe the Arsey Dee blew. :snore:
