Really bizzare..putting an RCD on a shower when there wasn't one there before..what was I thinking??

This is a EIC in my opinion. The supply to the shower isolator is now a distribution circuit.

Also the shower isolator did not burn out because there was no RCD installed.

You haven't wired a new circuit, you have altered an existing circuit MNW

I agree, what were you thinking. Straight forward replacement switch with a departure on the Minor Works additional rcd protection not provided, existing circuit.

New 1 way CU = EIC and notification for Part P.
New enclosure containing new RCD = MEWIC.

Changing a cu or adding a cu constitutes an EIC and notification even if you don't make any additions or alterations to any circuits coming of that cu.
