EPC Assessor

I have been thinking for a while about becoming an EPC assessor but dont know what route to take, what courses and how much, what expenses there are to issue an EPC.

Anyone here already done this route - what do you think? - is it worth it? How much does it cost to get to a point where you can do EPCs

Why was you thinking of doing it? Are you a sparky? I baulked at the prices for doing this. With scheme fees and a family I could not stretch to it. But thought if the green deal comes to anything it may be useful.

My brother has a flat which he wants to let and went to an estate agent to manage it for him, one of the things they need from him is an EPC. So I did a quick search and found the guy who did the next door flat in the same block to him, my brother rang him and during the discussion he asked when the guy wanted access.
"No problem" says the guy "I can do it from the comfort of my office"
So there it is guys, it's not just our industry where there are people doing drive by inspections.
Who thinks I should report the guy?
