I wondered the same, whether they are essentially roof beams, or part of a larger steel structure that could introduce a potential.That looks like a steel support rather than a Columb (which would go into the ground).
I suspect the roof is more likely to be extraneous. Odd structure with the wood beams supporting it, a barn?
