Hi,i have been asked to repair a ventilaion fan in a garage that only starts after it has been spun manually.Would that mean a faulty capacitor?
Any info would be appreciated

Could be or sticky bearings or the coil on the way out best bet --- replace it.

bin it get a new fan ,it will only bite you when it fails next week and you were the last to touch it
