Took the Hoover apart earlier as it wasn't picking up as it should and found this, it means that the screw in place would of been live when the Hoover is on, I'm going to email them tomorrow

disconnect from mains before removing cover
thats what they will reply as it will be on the mould somewhere

The thing is the screw it was penetrated by protrudes through the cover underneath so effectively is live

so it is accessible from the external casings ,
i.e can be touch with domestic users fingers

Well any warranty is void now if you have opened it up!
