Green Deal soft launch

with the Green Deal launching next Monday on solar.

Today the Mirror have a story claiming, since the launch of Green Deal last October, "Just FIVE households sign up to Government's green scheme"
they claim since October only 5 houses have completed any Green Deal work in the UK

[FONT=Trebuchet MS, sans-serif]"The launch threatened to descend into even more of farce as the interest rate owners will pay STILL hasn't been announced."[/FONT]

they quote Shadow Climate Change Minister Luciana Berger MP “The Government’s best estimate is that interest rates will be around 7.5%, yet that will leave many paying back more than twice the upfront cost. It’s no wonder that most people seem to be saying no deal to the Green Deal.”


What do you guys think,
I'm just sitting back and watching for a while before investing any money into "Green Deal"

Not many people know about the GD that's probably why pal, all new schemes get a slating before it takes off

We got our GDAO and still cant get the ball rolling as we found out you cant get much on eco funding so the installtion needs topping up with GD finance and GD finance is not here.

we becoame GDAO on 18th DEC 2012 and still have no access to the green deal register ???

is there an annual fee? or is it once your GDAO thats good enough
