Hi
as the title suggests, does anyone have any advice on any good books for a HNC electrical course?
i have just signed up to start in september and want to get some studying done.
Cheers

I think there are a couple of members here doing the HNC course, perhaps if your lucky they may be able to provide some module course papers for you to look over....

HNC is a very decent qualification , it certainly has boosted my career. Good luck!

Hopefuly it will bost mine, havn't managed to get a job in the field due to 'no experience' even though I have gotten certain qualifications.
So Im hoping to do a HNC then a HND.

I'm currently studying a HNC in electrical and electronic engineering via Teesside university (Distance Learning).
You may find this thread useful : http://www.electriciansforums.co.uk...de-hnc-electrical-electronic-engineering.html

Also on the books front, These will definitely be of aid :

Basic Engineering Mathematics : Paperback : John Bird : 9781856176972

Electrical Engineering: Know It All, 1st Edition | Clive Maxfield, John Bird, Tim Williams, Walt Kester, Dan Bensky | ISBN 9781856175289

Don't purchase them from the links I provided, only used them to show you the books, there are cheaper available online somewhere!

Cheers

Hi there
I can't vouch for the second book but am using the Maths book right now and it has helped me no end for the first three TMAs I have completed. Definitely get that book, you will not regret it.
All the best.

and don't buy any books by a certain d. cockburn
