I’ve been asked by a builder I know to rewire a property he’s renovating, I’ve been involved in a few rewires before but never priced one. Just wondering how everyone else goes about pricing a big rewire? It’s quite a big property, 3 floors. Builder supplying all materials it’s basically labour I’ll be quoting for.

I would refuse the job, you make money on materials and knowing builders he dictates how fast or slow the job goes, if you are to go labour only give him an hourly rate then you cannot lose out, over 45 years in this industry I have learned to never trust a builder, never worked for a good one and they always change the job usually half way through and the only one who will lose out is you
