How do you get CCTV pictures off the DVR to Internet.

I have wired the patch lead from the DVR to the virginmediasuperhub and I have configured the IP address and gateway address on the DVR how do i stream the pictures to iPad or computer?

I used the software that came with the DVR (QVIS) for the computer and the gDMSS app for my android smart phone

You need to be running any software that came with the Dvr for that to work and also needs to be compatible with iPad

And if you want to view remotely you need either a static ip address or register with a company like dyndns

Most DVRs will work through a browser like Internet Explorer etc. You need the IP Address of the DVR - as an example you would type http://192.168.1.101/80 or whatever the port number is you have set on the DVR and the software will download itself. Depends on the brand though.

Some systems may require port forwarding type config to allow external access, depends on the system / routers involved.
