Hi all. Im looking to replace the carbon brushes on the ABS electric motor in my car that no longer works correctly. Thing is, I don't know how to find the right size and I don't want to remove the motor from the car unless I have the part on hand. I'm looking on Amazon but it seems that there are alot of different sized brushes.

I'd see if there is a forum for your model of car. Someone will probably be able to tell you if it's a common ABS motor that brushes are available for.

Remember there are not only different sizes but different grades of carbon. With something safety-critical like an ABS pump I would not accept less than the original component or at the very least, a part from a recognised manufacturer specified for that motor. Something that 'seems to fit OK' would not be my choice. It might work at first but damage the commutator causing the motor to let you down when you need it.

That's a coincide - I was just trying that website yesterday to see if they could repair the ABS pump on my kawasaki.

Not sure why people are finding my post funny - it was serious!

It appears to be true that they are no more, as of a few days ago.
Ah well, no need to worry any longer about damaging the 'warranty void if this label removed ' seal on the ABS pump they rebuilt for me a decade ago.

Do you know any other decent places to try Brian?
