Hi,
I am wanting to fit LED downlight throughout my home. Not only to improve the look of my home but also to save power and be more energy efficient.
I already have downlight fitted in my kitchen and bathroom, the kitchen in cool white and the bathroom in warm white. The downlight I am considering for the rest of the house is the JCC V50 as it gives me the option of either colour temperature in one unit and is dimmable.
I would be grateful for anyones views or alternative suggestions as well as your advise on the best supplier to use and any discount codes that may be valid. I am wanting a total of 24.
Thank you for reading my thread and I look forward to seeing your replies.

I use the KSR QR10. Dimmable and IP65 as standard. They also do a colour selectable one, and an auto colour selector version where you can set the colour through rocking the switch. Not used that one myself though.
I think Enlite E8 also get a good noise made about them.

I’ve only had one driver failure on all the V50 that I have fitted. It’s my ‘go to’ downlighter until something changes my mind.

Click Scholmore also do some good examples.

I am getting little unconvinced about sealed unit down lights, these days. Whilst the reliability is good these days, you are rather locked into that technology for the term of the warranty and life span of the lamp.

I didn't think I would say it, but I quite like the likes of Philips Hue stuff, not withstanding their lumen output is lower and the price higher, they are rather more flexible in what you can do with them.

Thoughts?

never tried them, but i've never ate squid, so can't comment on either

tried eel once. that was like trying to eat an inner tube, and even worse, it tasted like fish. YUK.

no way. i detest fish. even the smell of a local fishmonger makes me cross the road till i'm 50 yards past.

About the end of 2017, my wholesalers said they would not stock JCC FGLED6’s, which was a pain ‘cos one I installed had gone Pete Tong. Apparently they had a few gone faulty. I was shown three great big boxes of duff ones. They eventually sourced me one.

The start of last year, I had one customer, whose house I installed 6’s to replace his aging MR16, had them go, one by one. He had to get replacement direct from JCC, as the warranty had past the two year mark.

All very embarrassing.

Fitted 18 V50s 6 months back with no problems. Just about to fit anoth 40. I like the push fit connectors.
Currently looking at LED downlights and keep coming back to JCC V50. Heard more good than bad. Are you still using them? You said you like the push fit connectors but are they suitable for cable or just flex? Thanks.
