old money lolstandard worktop height is 36", so sockets above worktops generally 4" -6" above that.
Would look terrible imho. And no better than sockets on top of skirting throughout the rest of the house. Personally I'd have insisted on another 50mm above the upstand.About 1.2m fits nicely, then again Ive just been doing a kitchen today and the kitchen fitter insisted they went 100mm above the worktop height which is straight above the upstand of 100mm, personally I think it's too low, but the kitchen fitter said put them there and so did the customer.
but usually, 1200mm seems ok, hang on, but another kitchen I did, it was crucial that they lined up with the tiles.

Well I went through it several times and they were adiment, customer gets what he asks for, if it looks crap it's not my fault.
We generally work at 1100mm from finished floor level to the bottom of the back box I'm not sure how that coverts in to imperial
well a hair over 43 and 3/81100mm is 43inches and a smoke-end. you need to be precise in this game.

talking about tony tyler, i sent a text into capital this morning as eric triciani always line up the bottom of the back box @ 4" or 6" above worktop. that way there's a better than even chance that tony tiler gets his tiles straight.
old money lol
