Discuss Led upgrade for daytime running lights on vauxhall corsa 2011 in the Australia area at ElectriciansForums.net

I am looking for some advice. I have recently upgraded my DRL's with can-bus error free LED's.

The factory fitted w21/5w bulbs act as DRL's and sidelights. When switched to sidelight the DRL's should dim slightly.

However, the LED's will not act as side lights when in the 'sidelight position' the DRL's just switch off instead of dimming.

Can anyone shed some light on this please?

Thanks

Dunno about yer car bonny lad, but any mention about electric lights in sheds is liable to open up a big can of worms around here !! ;)

Not really my area, auto lamps, however are you sure you have 21/5W LED replacements not just 21W and are both the contacts in the same place on the base of the LED lamp as your original.
May just need cleaning on the base of the lamp if it is covered with flux.
Have you tried applying a voltage directly to the contacts to test that the LED lamp is working?
