I wonder if someone can tell me where I have gone wrong please.
I've changed my upstairs light switch from dimmer to normal switch.
I've Googled how to swap over the cables the light switch works when I'm upstairs but if I turn the light on from DOWN stairs I than can't turn it off from UPSTAIRS. It worked fine before when it was a dimmer.
I dont know how to paste the picture on here that I copied. Just wondered if it was something simple. Thank you

You;ve probably run into the issue of terminal labels not being consistent.

Some switches are COM, L1 and L2, others are L1, L2 and L3, so you can't always transplant L1 to L1.

A picture would definitely help, if not then a description of the colours in each terminal.

You may also need to check the wires at the bottom switch - as you need to match them at each end.
