Hi, looking for an answer which is probably obvious most of you, I've been ask to put in spotlights and a mirror with lights/shaving socket for a bathroom fitter as his usual spark on holiday.
I myself am in a Part P scheme, but me and my brothers are property developers and I only do our own electrical installations which are full rewires.
So I went to look at the job today and the house has no cpc on the lighting circuit. There's no chance of running a single core up to the loft as it's all been nicely decorated.
Can I use low voltage spotlights? Is there a class 2 mirror with light/shaving socket out there?
The house is tn-s with no RCD.
Thanks for your help (but part of me reckons I'm going to get a right roasting on here for something every spark should know)

as above.do not carry out any work in a bathroom without adding RCD protection and cpc/s to the circuits. it's your arse in the dock if you don't.

You ll need an RCD fitted to that circuit if you are making ammnendmentd to a special location.
ammnendmentd? WTFs that mean? have you hurt your fingers, or is your device past it's sell by date?
