i can see a 'during the war' speech coming on..Perhaps we should start another thread ''What's Test Kit do you have to hand'' !! Otherwise this thread is going to get side tracked from time to time...
I must admit, i'm a collector of test equipment, and have a pretty extensive collection, some of it i'll probably never use again, and realistically should be sold on. lol!!!

Seen a few in Aldi / Lidl & for basics like Resistance / Continuity they'd probably be ok but I would'nt trust them for Voltage testing on AC systems to be honest.
Dont underestimate stuff from Aldi, the wife works for them and i have had loads of kit from there, never had any problems, and they always honour their 3 year guarantee. Aldi are german owned, and wont sell crap, be it tools, food or whatever. I got 10 soldering iron kits for the college where i work and change out of £100, and they have had some proper hammer, and they are still as good as new.
