Discuss New MCB's ??? in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Ive heard of sparks wiring bathroom lighting and putting the circuit on a 3amp MCB because of the BS manufactures instructions stating the fan has to be protected by 3amp. Saves putting a FCU next to fan isolator. The whole 3amp and fan thing is another debate though.

Lol, kinda makes sense though.

Usually 3A or 5A MCB's would be found in control panels to protect the thinner control wiring.
 
Thanks for those replies. I don't personally work on control panels and hence have never come across them, but I was amused to see them (highlighted by errata sheet) the in the new OSG.
