HI just looking for some info on acquiring ECS card .I completed my apprenticeship in Ireland back in the 1990`s .moved to Australia2010 and converted my irish license to Australian A grade requirement .
Looking to move to Liverpool UK in march 2021 all going well on the covid 19 front .looking for best way to get on to the building sites and secure a job as soon as i get there .i see jobs for electrican mate is this the best way to get going or another route .any help on this would be appreciated

you need first to take a H&S exam. simple multi choice cost about £40. there is a booklet costing £15 with all the possible questions and answers. also the 18th Ed. regs. course is approx £300 inc. exam. then you submit your quals to JIB. what you are aiming for is a gold card.

thanks mate is the 18Ed regs course a week long course whats the study required is it theory and prac
 
THE 18th or 2382 course is generally done evenings 2 hours per week over several weeks, or a daytime course (not sure, but I think about 1-2 weeks). It's basically being able to find the answers (multi choice) to 60 questions in 2 hours,in a copy of BS7671. search 18th Ed. mock questions.

Hi can anyone suggest the quickest way to get my electrical mate ticket ,have arrive from Australia ex Irish Electrican looking for quick start working in Liverpool .hope to get my JIB etc as I go along ,looking to start earning bit cash ASAP . Anyone know any Electrical company looking for Electrican mate in Liverpool ?
