Hi all,
Does anyone know of a decent quality unit of 20-30w rating with a 4c tail so a manual switch can be connected?
The on/off/on/off override type is not wanted and neither is separate PIR's. The present wiring to a number of knackered halogen units is 3c with a switch wire available.

That would void any warranty available

why not replace the existing tail?
May not be possible, depends on whether the lamp wire can be accessed inside.
Found Steinel units apparently have a sw connection in a terminal block, but the only flexed unit I can find with a sw wire is the dreaded 'Red Arrow' brand. For anyone who has not used these before.....Don't.
Seems it might be Steinel then.

I'm pretty sure with the Steinel fittings the 'SW' connection is for connecting a slave fitting. A 230v supply across SW and N won't override the PIR and turn the floodlight on. The only thing I dislike about them. Surely it would be possible to manufacture so it could work like the good old days!?

PIR LED floods are usually shyte, we often fit a separate PIR near the light, the PIR is then fully adjustable and provides a connection point for the floods little flex. It is then easy to add extra switching or PIRs.
