Poppies and the FIFA

WTF have the FIFA go to do with trying to prevent the England and Scotland football teams from displaying poppies when they play on the 11th Nov??

Its not as if FIFA have lead the way with ethics and morality.......

For me the teams should wear the poppies and stick 2 fingers up to FIFA.

The teams are defying the ban as far as I know.
It's part of a blanket ban on all slogans, symbols and similar to do with anything other than the team or its sponsors. Understandable to see where that rule comes from though.

Makes you wonder how FIFA will cope with the 1000s of supporters coming to watch the match all sporting poppies, what will they do ban the supporters? FIFA want to get real, if FIFA think the ban isn't political then my thingies a bloater.
