Replacing ring main in metal working workshop. They frequently have 2 portable arc welders on the go. The sockets are all now supposed to have RCD protection, but will the arc welders trip them out? Asking as had a problem potentially like this in a professional photography studio where several of those really bright flashy things all go at the same time, and always took the new RCD out.

Schneider make some wonderfully intelligent RCDs which would probably help in this situation. You need to look for the Si type, either Vigi units with the part numbers A9V61xxxx or iLD rccb with part numbers A9R61xxxx

I've just been working on a quote to replace a bunch of DB's so have become somewhat familiar with their catalog!
