I have quite a bit a cat5e to run through joists under floorboards for ethernet points around the house. Can this run in the same joists as the LV cables or do you make separate holes in the joists for the ELV cables?

Cheers guys.

I have seen probably thousands of miles of Cat5 running over T&E, lights and criss crossing over main swa in ceilings. Never heard of any complaint regards SNR or internet problems for critical servers and so on. That having said LV and ELV should be separated, but CAT5 is not ELV.

Surely CAT5 is classed as ELV by the definition of ELV in part 2? "Not exceeding 50 V AC or 120 V DC".
