Hi, I would like some advice on using Tado with electric underfloor heating to ensure it is
I have Tado contolling my boiler and radiators around my home and would like to add in 3 zones of electric underfloor heating in to this system. Unfortunately Tado does not officially support electric undefloor heating as they can only switch 3A with their thermostat and no floor probe input.
However what is to stop me using a combination of a manual themorstat with a floor probe to stop the floor from overheating, and a Tado thermostat to do the "smart" temperature/scheduling?
I can see 3 different methods of connecting:
1. Tado switching live supply of manual thermostat.
2. Tado switching live supply of underfloor heating mat.
3. Manual thermostat live output in series with Tado to switch DP contactor for heating mat.
Or there a better way to do this? Is this even possible to do while complying with building regs? I will be purchasing the items but it will be installed by a professional electrician.
For what its worth all 3 zones will pull less than 3A as they are reasonably small areas.
Any help will be much appreciated!

- Want to use Tado to control electric UFH. How do I connect a Tado thermostat and manual thermostat safely?
