So what era are were talking of, referring to the tinned copper cable, not my Fizzy Mop?

Well I would date it to 55 years plus, but that just dates the cable could have been done in 1975 with some old stock cable

It is not likely to be old cabling used many later but I know of some lighting cabling in a house I dwell in which has been done in black and red within the last 12 months, the scandal of it
