Fibre optic lighting above a bed to replicate a starry night :)

Out of interest, did you use a template/pic to position the lights to represent stars, or just drill random holes?

Oh, it looks good as well...

I’ve done quite a few now..
Mainly in steam rooms, what I usually do is split the area up into segments and then randomly drill the same number of holes into each segment.,
Unless the client has a specific pattern such as a certain constellation then random is the best option.
A fiddle when you have an assistant, a challenge on your own..
I also push sleeping up through the holes so I can see them from above and then feed the fibres down

Posh houses over on the island then. Or is that a council semi in Hexthorpe?

and i thought i was a philistine.. for comparison purposes of scale, you use a calibrated ruler, micrometer, or vernier. no wonder the trade's gone to hell in a cart, using foreign coins as yardsticks.

Tip:
If ever you inadvertently find you are going to end a sentence with a preposition, just pause (if speaking) or add a comma (if writing), then add "by the way".
"I had no idea where I was going to, by the way".
Sorted! "Honestly" works well too...
Now I am going to take my wine outside because it's 28 degrees out there...by the way...honestly! (Not that there was any preposition involved there, I just wanted to brag!

It is indeed. Far too large as only has two circuits but getting hold of an all insulated board (TT system) with IP rated enclosure was somewhat difficult. In hindsight it was probably the best choice due to the space within it and those glands are 40mm.

Well my job today consisted of remedying the mystery mouse fault which I enjoyed and saying 'no' to a 3 phase consumer unit replacement quote, which I didn't enjoy.

Why did you say no out of interest?
Come on Lee! You must know I'm a domestic installer not a full blooded electrician. I'd love to change one but apart from not having enough knowledge I am also not insured to work on 3 phase.
I feel I'm missing out sometimes, although I do enjoy 95% of the domestic work I do.

It’s not rocket science mate and you seem knowledgeable enough IMO. If I was you I would change your insurance and get stuck in.
