Hi All,

My triton martinique shower suddenly became only lukewarm, i get my trusty multimeter out and sure enough, one of the heater coils has packed in.
The replacement arrives, swap them over, nice and easy, time for a nice hot shower thinks I, wrong, it is still lukewarm with the new heater in place, that is still testing fine on the multimeter.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem may be? Is there some kind of reset required?

Many thanks in advance.

I think the most important question is replacement what? What exactly did you replace?

If you merely replaced the heating canister I'd be checking my connections, if it's the whole shower I'd be checking things like temperature selector orientation? Did you rotate any of the controls with the cover removed for example?

There's lot of possibilities I'm afraid, so more information and perhaps some pictures may help.

The board is pretty much impossible to replace as nowhere seems to stock it, is there an easy way to check the relays, as I would be able to replace those myself?
You could compare the resistance of the coil of each (e.g. using a multimeter - though with the relays in circuit with their drivers you might get different readings when swapping probes over), and also check the contact resistance is effectively zero when you manually push the relay closed. All with the power off obviously!
Unless you are 'lucky' with faulty relay contacts, I suspect the fault may lie elsewhere on the pcb, or in whatever sensor is telling the pcb to switch on the second element.
