Why does it try to give you the value of 16KA in the drop down box for prospective fault current. Has anybody else come across this or do they know the reason why? I always put my measured value in but still would like to know the reason they try to give you the above value.

I think they've just copied the design maximum value for the DNO, same as 0.35 Ohms for Ze on TNCS.

Agree - I've forgotten all this now (if I ever really knew it) but I think the BS61439 sets this and DNO work to it and so our nice little boards handle faults faultlessly, in theory

You'll find in the notes section it explicitly states that this should not be a measured value. That is why it defaults to 25kA/16kA.
