Hey guys,

I am going to be starting a foundation degree in September hopefully in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

These are the units covered:

In year 1 you will study:
- PPD (20 credits)
- WBL (20 credits)
- Mechatronics (20 credits)
- Engineering Mathematics (20 credits)
- ECAD (10 credits)
- Drawing Systems (10 credits)
- Mechanical Science (10 credits)
- Electrical Science (10 credits)

In year 2 you will study:
- PPD (20 credits)
- WBL (20 credits)
- Project Management Priciples (20 credits)
- Electronic Circuits (20 credits)
- Engineering Design (20 credits)
- Electronic & Electrical Principles (20 credits)

Could someone very kindly expand on each of these units with particular attention to the PPD and WBL as myself and my MD are unsure what it even stands for.

He will be kindly meeting the costs of this course providing he feels it will be of relevance to what I am currently doing at the company!

(I am a 17th Edition Electrician with 2391, although I have moved into on/offsite calibration work focusing on Electrical, Mechanical and other area's such as Pressure and Temp towards bespoke industrial and commercial equipment)

Regards,

M. Hornby
