    voltage operated elcb, nuisance tripping

    Advice needed please, I was called out last week to a nuiscance tripping problem with an old elcb, IR tests showed up a L-E fault on ring circuit, finaly traced the fault to a wall light run off ring circuit which was shorting out in the socket.     Tt system/ time delay

    Guys can you just confirm please.im changing a db in a house which has a tt supply. im putting in a dual rcd distboard 30ma on both sides and im going to split the circuits the correct way. can you please confirm that tt no longer needs a time delay rcd upfront, and the reason why. thanks

    Hi I have just tested a 80A 30mA time delay RCD model MK 5780s. The times I get are 1/2x - 2000ms at 0 and 180 1x - 0.0ms at 0 and 46.7ms at 180 5x - 10.4ms at 0 and 6.4ms at 180 These don't seem right because I thought time delay RCD should trip at between 130ms and 500ms at 100%...
